A Dutch man had to be rushed to hospital after stuffing 15 hard-boiled eggs up his rectum.
British newspaper The Daily Mail reported that the 29-year-old and his partner had taken drugs before they peeled and inserted the eggs into his anus.
Later that evening, the man began having stomach pains and had to be taken to the hospital.
One of the doctors who examined the victim said, "Upon arrival, the patient had tachycardia (high heart rate) and tachypnoea (rapid breathing).
"Physical examinations showed abdominal guarding over the entire stomach."
The British daily added that doctors suspected abdominal sepsis and performed a CT scan, which showed a perforation of the pelvic colon and large amounts of air and fluids in his abdominal cavity.
"This is why we deemed an emergency laparotomy necessary," the doctor added.
The laparotomy, a surgical procedure involving a large incision through the abdominal wall to gain access into the abdominal cavity, was performed successfully on the patient.
"The eggs were removed as well as we could and the abdominal cavity was thoroughly rinsed," the doctor said.
The eggs caused a giant rapture of the gastrointestinal wall, which was sewn up by the doctors.
After news report added that the patient was monitored in intensive care for a short time before the hospital.
The Daily Mail had written the story based on an article from the Dutch Journal of Medicine dated Aug 21.
The medical journal did not disclose the identity of the victim nor the country where the incident took place.
